Malesia Region

It's been frequently missed in description of malesia region. In early publication, e.g. Annales du Jardin Botanique de Buitenzorg and the continuation Bulletin du Jardin Botanique, malesia region are often writen as malaysia. Malesia are stated as a region to avoid compusing with malaysia as a nation. Malesia is a region that covers malay peninsula, indonesia, philippines, papua new guinea, timor leste, and some of islands in eastern of papua new guinea.
As seen on biogeography perspectives, this region is unique place. It's joining the mainland Asian flora and Australian flora. in this region, we also can found temperate species especially on mountain to alpine area. Two tops mountain that contains alpine flora are Mount Jaya Wijaya (in papua) and Mount Kinabalu (in Sabah Borneo).
